Gymnastics
Gymnastics is one of the oldest and most popular sports in the world due to it's training teaching acrobatic skills, kinematic bone stacking, proper body position and form, as well as increasing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Firestorm Gymnastics classes are broken into four Events: Floor, Vaulting, Bars, and Beam/Rings. Each Gymnastics class is centered around one event at a time, focusing on learning skills specific to that Event. The more classes enrolled in per week, the faster skills can be learned.
RANK SYSTEM
We break our students into colored Ranks, similar to the colored belt system of martial arts. Signified by a wristband or hero shirt.

CURRICULUM
Gymnastics classes have seven different Ranks, each progressively building on the skills learned in the last Rank. All new students begins in White Rank classes, regardless of age, gender, or prior experience.
The Firestorm Curriculum has been designed to teach students proper body position and form first, followed later by flashier tricks and flips. Our Coaches, teaching thousands of students over more than two decades of Gymnastics
classes have worked together to create one of the most well rounded academy gymnastics curriculum anywhere in the US. Our Gymnastics program was created to teach the fundamentals of gymnastics to boys, girls, and adults of all ages, not to train for gymnastics competitions. This means we can teach the skills that are useful to make you a better athlete, human, and hero, and disregard the things that will not help.
Floor - Floor is the most fundamental component of gymnastics. This class trains the basics of handstands, rolling,
tumbling, and sticking your landings. Higher rank classes focus on tumbling skills like handsprings and flips.
Vaulting - This class teaches you how to use and control explosive power mixed with acrobatics. Students learn how to take the power of running and
use it to jump, flip, and vault onto blocks and landing mats.
Bars - The bars class is another fundamental part of gymnastics, helping to build upper body and grip strength while teaching skills like hanging, swinging, and
dismounting from a high bar. Advanced classes teach skills like flipping off of a bar.
Beam/Rings - This class is a mixture of two traditional gymnastics event and is run differently than any other gymnastics program in the country. In this class, boys and
girls will learn beam, known for helping train amazing balance, and rings, known for building upper-body strength and coordination. Through training both of these events, boys
and girls will build strength, balance, and coordination faster and more well rounded than in a traditional gymnastics gym.
